Why
did I create ViewComplaints.com?
In
the summer of 1999 I had a dispute with a major hotel chain.
I felt that my complaint was being ignored (after all I was
just one person). That's when I decided to create a web page
outlining my experience. This way, everyone would know about
my complaint. But, that wasn't enough. I also submitted my
complaint page to the major internet search engines. Now,
when someone searched for information on the company, my complaint
page would show up in the search result list.
Still
not satisfied, I also programmed my page with a counter (so
that I could see how many people were viewing my complaint),
and set my page up in such a way that every time it was viewed
the company that I was complaining about was sent an e-mail
message letting them know that another potential customer
had just read my complaint page.
As
you might have guessed, my complaint was settled. I created
TheSqueakyWheel.com
to help those of you who can't afford a lawyer, and don't
have the ability to program your own web pages.
All
that you need to do is type out your complaint. We do all
the rest. And it really works!
Now,
I have created a new site - ViewComplaints.com
to help you avoid bad companies, products, and services. My
hope is that people will start to use ViewComplaints.com before
they make a purchase decision. Of course, if
you bought something without checking ViewComplaints.com and
it doesn't work out - you can still fall back on TheSqueakyWheel.com
and we'll help you get a refund, apology, product exchange
etc.
